Our LTO batteries, as the name suggests, utilize Lithium Titanate
(LTO) as the active anode material. LTO features a spinel crystal
structure and exhibits minimal volumetric variation during
charge-discharge cycles, earning it the designation of a
"zero-strain" material. This "zero-strain" characteristic mitigates
structural degradation caused by repeated expansion and contraction
of graphite layers (a common issue in conventional anodes), thereby
enhancing the battery's cycle life and safety performance.
Additionally, it endows the battery with exceptional high-rate
discharge capability and low-temperature performance.
Notably, the formation of a solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) film
on the LTO anode surface is negligible. Coupled with its high
lithium deintercalation potential (approximately 1.55V vs. Li+/Li),
this eliminates the risk of safety hazards associated with metallic
lithium plating—a critical advantage over traditional systems.
In comparison to conventional cathode materials such as Lithium
Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide (NMC) and Lithium Iron Phosphate
(LFP), LTO batteries demonstrate superior performance in safety,
cycle life, and low-temperature operation. These attributes enable
their extensive application in diverse energy storage and
high-power domains.
Specifically, the cylindrical 18650 LTO battery cell achieves a
cycle life exceeding 15,000 cycles at 100% Depth of Discharge
(DOD), rendering it highly suitable for a broad spectrum of energy
storage and power supply scenarios.
